WestJet Offers Non-Stop Service From Palm Springs To Toronto

WestJet Airlines announced non-stop service between Palm Springs International Airport and Toronto, Canada will begin early next year.

The new service, which will transport snow birds from Canada to the mild temperatures of the winter in the desert, is slated to begin February 2, 2011, and continue every Wednesday and Saturday.

WestJet also serves Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary during the season at Palm Springs International Airport.

“We are absolutely thrilled that WestJet airline sees the potential of the Palm Springs market and has taken advantage of our Airline Incentive Program to promote its new service to our Airport,” said Mayor Steve Pougnet. “Our friends from Canada are a very important component to our resident and visitor base and we would love to see that continue to grow.”

In addition, on June 3, WestJet began offering two weekly direct non-stop flights to its major airline hub in Calgary, Alberta — with access to the entire Canadian network of cities.
