Man Shot In Car-To-Car Shooting In Coachella

A car-to-car shooting in Coachella may have been gang- related, police said today.

A man in his 20’s was driving his black Mercedes-Benz sedan on Calhoun Street, south of Avenue 48, about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, when someone from a second car fired multiple rounds, striking him several times, but he survived, said Sgt. Anthony Baur of the Coachella Police Department.

Witnesses described the second car as possibly a white Mitsubishi, the sergeant said.

Police believe the shooting may have been gang-related.
