Emergency Safeguards Clear Hurdle In Wednesday’s Quake

The Seismic Warning System released a report today about Wednesday’s 5.4 Earthquake that shook the Coachella Valley.

The report states that the quake was felt across Southern California with the highest intensity centered near Anza.

All but one QuakeGaurds in the Coachella Valley, which open fire station doors before the earthquake hits, activated as normal.

The station that did not activate was caused by internet failure, according to the report.

The report also says that there remains a 5 to 10 percent chance of a larger earthquake in the coming week. There is also about a 40 percent chance of a damaging aftershock as well.
