Teen Found After Amber Alert Issed For Southern California

A 13-year-old Orange County girl who went missing after allegedly chatting online with an older man has been found safe.

Orange County sheriff’s officials say Cheyenne Bradford of Rancho Santa Margarita was found in San Juan Capistrano Monday afternoon.

U.S. marshals detained Dave Burton Egert, 48, in Altadena on Monday and took him to sheriff’s headquarters in Santa Ana for questioning.

The girl’s family thought she ran away last Wednesday but later discovered what authorities described as sexually explicit online chats. Investigators identified Egert as a person of interest and issued an Amber Alert.

They are questioning the teenager about how much contact she had with Egert.
