2.7 Earthquake Shakes San Jacinto Mountains

A 2.7 magnitude earthquake shoot along the San Jacino fault, Wednesday afternoon, shaking an area near Hemet, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake hit at 1:15pm, and was centered 15 miles east, southeast of Hemet and 20 miles southwest of Palm Springs.

There are no reported injuries or damage.

This is the same fault that produced last week’s 5.4 temblor that rocked a large section of Southern California.
