Motorcyclist Shot While Riding Through Palm Springs

Palm Springs police are looking for a man who shot at two motorcyclists near the corner of Vista Chino and Indian Ave.

It happened at 9:54 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Palm Springs Police Department, as the bikers were headed northbound on Indian Ave. Police immediately shut down the vicinity to investigate.

According to police, the bikers were in the right lane when a white-colored, Japanese-made sedan drove beside them on the left lane and began shooting at them.

The 56-year-old from Morongo Valley was shot in the back and rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center. He is in good condition today.

The second biker was not hurt.

Police say the victim did not know or recognize the car from which the shots were fired.
