A police spokesperson said the robbery happened at 11:20am on Saturday at Frontera Financial Services in Coachella. The clerk told police a Hispanic man walked up to the counter, showed him a gun and demanded money from the cash register.

The clerk said the man shoved the money and his gun into a blue backpack, and ran away.

No one was injured.

On Wednesday, the police surveillance photo police released shows rather fuzzy images of the man they’re looking for. He’s 25-to-30 years old, 5’10” and 150-pounds. He was wearing jeans, a white t-shirt, black and white tennis shoes and a white straw hat.
