Two Boys Found Dead Behind Their Home; May Be Murder-Suicide

Investigators say two young Southern California brothers were shot to death with their father’s handgun in what could be a double suicide case or a murder suicide.

The bodies of 12-year-old Bryan Gonzalez and 10-year-old Christian Gonzalez were found midday Tuesday by a family member in a ravine behind their Chino Hills mobile home in rural San Bernardino County. The father’s gun was nearby.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller says autopsies are planned Wednesday afternoon.

She says the shootings are isolated between the two boys and authorities aren’t looking for anyone.

Miller says there were no suicide notes and detectives haven’t disclosed if the gun had been locked up.

Miller says the parents are being cooperative.
