Body Of Missing Pregnant Teen Found In Landfill
Police say they found the body of a pregnant teenager in a Southern California landfill after months of searching.
Fontana police said Thursday the coroner’s office confirmed the remains of 17-year-old Anyssia Escamilla, who was killed in May.
Her boyfriend, 18-year-old Jesus Avitia Jr., of Fontana, has told police he killed Escamilla and placed her body in a trash can near his home.
He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and is being held on $2 million bail.
