Deputy Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Wife

A Riverside County sheriff’s deputy was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, authorities revealed on Thursday.

Jaime Morales, 32, of Temecula, was taken into custody Aug. 24 on suspicion of battery on a spouse and assault with a deadly weapon, according to the sheriff’s department.

Sergent Joe Borja said the incident happened while the deputy was off duty.

Since it is a personnel matter, the sheriff’s department was silent on any further details.
