Discovery Channel Gunman’s Brother Lives In Indio

On Wednesday night, NewsChannel 3 learned that the Discovery Channel gunman James Lee has family here in the desert.

KESQ spoke with his brother Aaron who lives in Indio.

He told us that he hasn’t had contact with his brother in ten years.

Police said James Lee went into the Discovery Channel building on Wednesday with explosives strapped to his body and armed with weapons. He also took hostages.

According to some reports, he wanted the channel to change its programming, claiming their eco-programming was doing more harm to animals than good.

In Indio, his brother told our reporters that the FBI was at the home asking questions about his brother James earlier on Wednesday.

Aaron did not want to go on camera but is featured in a telephone interview on Good Morning America Thursday Morning.
