Police Use Surveillance Photos To Search For Robber

Coachella police released surveillance photos on Thursday in hopes of tracking down the man who robbed a convenience store.

On August 24, police said a Hispanic man went into the AM/PM store at 52138 Harrison Street in Coachella. They said he took a case of beer from a refrigeration unit, and as he walked toward the exit, he pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the clerk. The man ran from the store to a waiting vehicle that was parked on Avenue 52, just north of the store.

Police said the suspect was between 19-25 years of age, and was wearing dark colored shorts, a blue short sleeve shirt, and a blue baseball cap. No one was injured and no other items were taken.

The Coachella Police Department said they want the public?s help. If anyone recognizes the suspect or has any information about this incident, they are encouraged to contact Investigator Chad Martin at (760) 863-8990.
