Apple Opens Doors In Valley

Computer giant Apple now has it’s first store in the valley. It opened for business early Saturday morning on El Paseo.

Big crowds came out for the opening, with lines stretching around the block. Customers cheered as they walked in.

Robert Briggs was the first one through the doors. He showed up at 5 in the morning. He said he’s glad he doesn’t have to drive to the Apple store in Rancho Cucamonga anymore. He said, “…this is much better.”

Other stores passed out fliers and coupons to Apple fans waiting in line.

New stores popping up around the valley are bringing in new jobs. Apple hired dozens of new employees alone, and they’re hoping to attract new customers with money to spend.

Sonia Stewart, owner of 4 Seasons Swimwear, said, “It’s fun for the shoppers when they come in and they got something else to wonder through and look at … So sure it never hurts. Better than an empty store.” Her store is loceted just across the street from the new Apple store.
