Alleged Copper Thieves Nabbed In Desert Hot Springs

Two Desert Hot Springs residents are in custody accused of stealing copper at an abandoned hotel.

Officers said they arrested Stephen Fields who they said had been hiding in some nearby bushes.

Police also arrested Field’s girlfriend Harmony Cser in connection with the alleged crime.

Police had been called early Tuesday afternoon about a man and a woman acting suspicious at the Pink Flamingo Hotel.

Investigators found freshly cut copper wire there and saw Fields running from the scene.
