‘American Idol’ Announces Los Angeles As Last Audition City

Producers with the hit show American Idol, seen on our sister station KDFX Fox 11, announced on Wednesday the final city for auditions will be Los Angeles.

Auditions will begin Wednesday, September 22, said a production spokesperson.

“This summer we have had an exceptional turnout – both in the number of people auditioning and the level of their talent,” said IDOL executive producer Ken Warwick. “Los Angeles has always delivered great talent, and so we feel it only fitting that we end our 10th season audition tour here in our home city.”

As part of its tenth season, the age range has also changed for challengers. Men and women 15-to-28 years old can audition to be a mega-star.

Auditions will be held at The Forum, 3900 West Manchester Blvd. in Los Angeles.
