Rodney Wardle

Rodney is the crime reporter News Channel 3 HD.

Making a difference, that’s why Rodney loves being a journalist. He begin his career in Provo, Utah as a student journalist. He first worked at KBYU-FM as a reporter and anchor. During his time at the station, he created a documentary on the changing landscape of newspaper journalism. After graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Rodney worked as an associate producer for KUTV-TV in Salt Lake City.

Rodney started working at KESQ-TV in December 2007. He enjoys the challenges and opportunities that come working with law enforcement and the criminal justice system. Whether it’s helping law enforcement catch a suspect, helping crime victims or helping potential victims avoid becoming one.

Rodney married his college sweetheart, Rachel, in April 2009. He’s excited to start building a life together with her. When he’s not working, Rodney likes to unwind to science fiction movies, reading and creative writing.
