Flight Makes Emergency Landing At Palm Springs Airport

A Mesa Airlines flight bound for San Luis Obispo made an emergency landing today in Palm Springs, after a warning light alerted the pilot of a possible fire in the cargo hold, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The plane, which was en route to San Luis Obispo from Phoenix, landed without incident at 3:10 p.m. at Palm Springs International Airport, said Ian Gregor of the FAA.

An inspection of the aircraft “showed no indication of an actual fire,” Gregor said.
