All Lanes Back Open After Big Rig Crash On Interstate 10

Traffic was moving again in time for the morning rush on Interstate 10 through Cathedral City after a big rig crash shut down three eastbound lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened just before 3 a.m. near the Date Palm exit.

Officers said the truck driver who was carrying autoparts at the time drifted onto the right shoulder and hit a parked car.

There were no injuries.

The accident happened as the westbound side of the interstate was completely shut down for crews working on the Bob Hope overpass project.
