Money Stolen From Coachella Valley High School Student Body

Money raised by student groups at Coachella Valley High School in Thermal was stolen, a sheriff’s lieutenant said today.

The robbery occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday at the high school on Airport Boulevard, according to Lt. Frank Taylor of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators determined that someone broke into the school and made their way into the Associated Student Body office, where they took a undisclosed amount of money, Taylor said.

Investigators were reviewing video from the school, the lieutenant said.
