Police Look For Two Men Who Robbed DHS Market

Two masked men who robbed a Desert Hot Springs meat market at gunpoint remained at large today.

The robbery was reported at 10:08 p.m. Sunday at the Rancho Grande Market at 13313 Palm Drive, said Sgt. Daniel Bressler of the Desert Hot Springs Police Department.

The robbers approached a male employee outside the store and ordered him to go inside, Bressler said.

Once inside, one of the suspects forced three male employees into a back room while the other man robbed two female clerks of several thousand dollars, the sergeant said.

The men ran out the back of the store with the money, he said.

One of the women was taken to a hospital for observation because she was in a “state of shock,” Bressler said.

The gunman was described as about 25 years old and short. The other suspect was about the same age, but tall, and spoke English and Spanish.

They both wore black masks over their faces and dark clothing.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call police at (760) 329-2904.
