Palm Springs Park Slated To Open Thursday Morning

Palm Springs city officials will unveil a park today created by federal stimulus dollars.

he 9 a.m. ceremony is set at a park on the corner of Gene Autry Trail and Vista Chino, which is also the entrance to Palm Springs, according to Amy Blaisdell, the city’s director of communications.

About 20 jobs were created from the project, which was funded entirely by federal stimulus dollars, Blaisdell said.

The park features bocce ball courts, walkways, drinking fountains, benches and shade, she said.
