Pair Of Earthquakes Hit Near Ocotillo

A 3.9 magnitude earthquake hit an area near Ocotillo Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

They quake hit at 11:03 am. and was centered six miles north, northeast of Ocotillo and about 130 miles south, southeast of Palm Springs.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.

The second earthquake hit at 11:37 a.m., measured 3.0 in magnitude and was centered in the same spot.

Residents living along the south shore of the Salton Sea reported feeling the temblors.
