Two Arrested In Coachella High School Theft

Police in Coachella announced the arrests of two men in connection with the theft of fund raising money at Coachella Valley High School on Friday morning.

The break-in happened on September 24 when at least two men broke into the school, and stole money raised by the Associated Student Body.

Surveillance photos captured them in action.

On thursday, investigators served search warrants at two homes in Salton City on the 1400 block of Thunderbird Avenue and the 1400 block of Gemini Avenue.

Ryan Carr, age 20, of Salton City was arrested and booked at the Indio Jail for burglary and conspiracy. Jose Francisco Garcia, 27, of Salton City was arrested and booked at the Indio Jail for burglary, conspiracy and violation of probation.

There is information that additional subjects were involved, said Lt. Frank Taylor.
