Man Found Shot To Death On Freeway Overpass

A 21-year-old man was fatally shot on a freeway overpass in Banning, and his assailant remained at large today, police reported.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was found with several gunshot wounds about 8:30 p.m. Monday on a sidewalk where Hargrave Street passes over Interstate 10, according to the Banning Police Department.

He was declared dead about 10 minutes later, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.

Police did not release a suspect description or possible motive.
