Coachella Music And Arts Festival Tickets On Sale

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival began selling layaway tickets today for next spring’s festival admission, camping and transportation.

Layaway options for the Empire Polo Fields performances are available through Frontgate tickets by calling (888) 512-7469.

Options are as follows:

— 50 percent down: Selecting this payment option will allow you to pay half your order total, plus service fees, with the rest automatically deducted from your card on March 1. Allow two to three days for processing and posting to your account.

— 10 percent down and equal payments: Pay 10 percent of your order total, plus service fees, as your first payment, with the remaining total automatically deducted in equal payments on the first business day of each month. Again, allow two to three days for processing and posting to your account after the first payment.

Click here and “my account” to see your status.

There are no refunds. Default on payments will result in loss of deposit and cancellation of your order.

All payments are automatically billed to the card used for the deposit. You cannot make manual payments.

Layaway orders are shipped via UPS before the first week of April 2011, after all accounts are paid in full. Even if you have paid in full prior to the last payment date, tickets will not be mailed until then.

All orders must include a physical address, not a P.O. box. The last date to order via layaways is Feb. 1, and only the 50 percent option is available that late.

A Festival Pass costs $269, plus $3 for charity, plus a $9 facility fee and service fees.

This year, to help protect against fraud, all festival passes will be mailed with tracking. This is the only option available. — All tickets are general admission three-day passes. — All ages welcome — Parking is free. (Day Parking) — Children 5 and under are free — Rain or shine. — No ticket refunds or exchanges or cancellations.

The lineup for the late-April extravaganza is scheduled to be announced in January, and more information will be provided at that time.
