Two Earthquakes Rattle Southern California

A 3.9 magnitude earthquake hit an area between the towns of Julian and Borrego Springs on Friday morning, according to the USGS.

The temblor hit at 10:44 a.m. and was centered 8 miles northeast of Julian and 10 miles southwest of Borrego Springs and 55 miles southwest of Palm Springs.

Most of the people reporting feeling the quake were in the San Diego area, where people were reporting weak shaking.

This earthquake follows a 3.7 magnitude earthquake that struck near Calexico Friday morning, a 3.9-magnitude earthquake that struck in roughly the same area late Wednesday night and a 4.1-magnitude earthquake that struck early Thursday, according to the USGS.
