Idyllwild Receives Snow From Recent Storm

The latest winter storm is bringing more snow to our local mountains.

Idyllwild began receiving its second snowfall of the season Tuesday night.

Because things can get slippery in town and on surrounding roads, people who live and work in the area know how important it is to have chains on the tires of their vehicles. “We were coming down from Pine Cove and we had to dig out the car for a half an hour. A little market on the way down and everyone was sliding out. So it’s just something, if you don’t have chains you’re gonna get stuck unless you’re in a 4×4 or a snow plow,” said Pine Cove resident Christine Sabin.

Due to the latest storm, chains are required for highways leading to the San Jacinto Mountains.
