Police Seek Help Tracking Down Suspects In Coachella Shooting
Coachella Police officers need the public’s help in tracking down a man and woman they believe may be behind a robbery that ended with a woman shot in the face.
The incident happened on Thursday, Jan. 11 along the 49000 block of Harrison St. in Coachella.
A woma was sitting in a parking lot, when she was approached by a man and a woman, who demanded money and other items from her, police said.
The victim complied with the demands, and the male suspect shot her in the face with a hand gun., and ran away.
The victim is expected to survive.
* Suspect #1 was described as a Hispanic male adult in his early 20?s, about 5?04? with a medium build, with black hair, wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.
* Suspect #2 was described as a Hispanic female adult, about 18 years old, 5? to 5?3? with a medium build with dark-colored shoulder-length hair wearing a black sweater.
Investigators interviewed several people and followed up investigative leads throughout the late night and early morning hours but the suspects were not located and the investigation is ongoing.
