Tahquitz Partially Shut Down By Car Accident

One lane of traffic was shut down on Tahquitz Canyon Road on Tuesday after a car drove into one of the palm trees along the tree-lined section of the roadway.

Palm Springs police said the accident happened at 7:45 a.m. just west of Sunrise Road.

The lane was expected to re-open soon. The condition of the driver was not known.
