Four Men Wanted In Attempted Kidnapping
Sheriff’s deputies were searching today for four men men who tried to abduct a 12-year-old girl in Wildomar.
The girl told authorities that four men drove up to her near the intersection of Gruwell and Darby streets when she was walking home from school around 2:15 p.m. Monday. She said one of them yelled, “Get her!” and the driver got out of the car, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Steve de la Vara.
The girl ran away and was unharmed, the sergeant said. She was able to provide a description of the four men, whom she said had bothered her before.
“The occupants of the car a week earlier had whistled at the victim in this case,” de la Vara said. “The car has been seen in the area before and three out of the four occupants were seen in the car previously.”
The car was described as a small, white four-door compact car with round tail lights that appeared to be connected across the back of the vehicle. It has several, 5-inch long scratches that run diagonally across the passenger door on the driver’s side, de la Vara said.
The driver was described as a Hispanic man in his 30s with blue/green eyes, a stubble mustache and tattoos on his upper left arm.
Anyone with information about the suspects was encouraged to call the sheriff’s department at (951) 245-3300.
