3.8 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Big Bear

A 3.8 magnitude earthquake shook an area of San Bernardino County on Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake hit around 4:15 p.m. and was centered about 8 miles west of Big Bear and 8 miles east, southeast of Lake Arrowhead.

The shaking was felt as far away as Redlands, according to USGS “Did You Feel It?” maps.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
