Skeletal Remains Found In Wilderness Near Hemet

Investigators who were following up on a missing persons report from May discovered what they believed were human skeletal remains on Tuesday.

The discovery was made north of the intersection of Truelson Avenue and Clinton Avenue in the unincorporated area of Hemet known as Homeland, said Sgt. Stephen Mike.

Investigators found the remains on a large hill in the area with the help of the county’s search dog team.

They collected the remains as part of their investigation, and forensics teams will analyze them for any evidence.

Investigators would not say which missing persons case they were following up on, or if they believe the remains may be linked to that case

This investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff’s department is requesting anyone that may have information about this case please contact Investigator Juarez at 951-487-7368.
