1st Bank Palm Desert Makes Second Bank Robbed
The 1st Bank branch, located at the intersection of Varner and Washington Street in Palm Desert was held up on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Investigators said around 1 p.m., a gunman pointed a gun at customers and tellers inside the bank, told everyone to get down on the ground and demanded money from a teller.
The suspect, who was disguised wearing a wig, sunglasses and a dust mask, managed to escape on a bicycle with an unknown amount of cash.
Fortunately there are no reported injuries.
The same branch was burglarized earlier this year, according to police, when someone broke into the bank in the overnight hours.
