Palm Springs and U.S. Forest Service fire crews made quick work putting out a fire near the same area as last weekend’s Windy Point wildfire that scorched 541 acres.

The fire and two others were reported just after 2:30 p.m. northwest of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, according to Palm Springs fire dispatchers.
