Local Teachers Learn About Wind Energy

Twenty-eight educators from around the desert attended a Wind Energy Workshop at College of the Desert’s Enterprise Center.

Teachers learned the basic principles behind wind energy, and how to engage their students in learning about it.

“We have a lot of wind turbines, we see them as we come in and out of the valley, here in the San Gorgonio Pass. Wind energy is a very important part of the renewable energy process here, and we want to make sure the youth know this,” Desert Hot Springs teacher Todd Berg said.

Teachers at the event represented all three local school districts.
