Overnight Fire Leaves 3 People Without A Home

A fire broke out at a Cathedral City apartment complex early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the Candlewood Villas on the 30505 block of Candlewood Drive around 2:30 Saturday morning. Firefighters say the flames broke out in a storage area on a balcony and then slowly moved through the wall and into two residences.

No one was injured in the fire. Three people were displaced by the fire. The American Red Cross is helping the victims with temporary housing.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
