Downed Power Lines Cut Power Near Palm Springs Int’l Airport

Residents and businesses near Vella Road and Camino Parocela in Palm Springs are without power, while Southern California Edison crews repair downed power lines.

The lines carrying the electricity went down around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Camino Parocela and Vella Road, which is near the Palm Springs International Airport.

It appears the airport still has electricity, according to passenger’s messaging on Twitter.

Southern California Edison has not said how long the power will be out, nor do they make mention of it yet on their Twitter feed (@SoCalEdison).
