3 Women Arrested In Palm Desert Prostitution Sting

Three women arrested during an undercover prostitution sting at a Palm Desert business where they worked were out of custody Thursday, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

The women — Cecilia Jimenez, 36, of Ontario; Anabel Rubio, 34, of Riverside; and Maria Ramirez, 36, of San Bernardino — were arrested about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday as part of a sting at Oasis Aromatherapy, 41910 Boardwalk in Palm Desert, sheriff’s Sgt. Tom Brewster said. The women were cited and released at the sheriff’s station, Deputy Angel Ramos said today.

“During the operation, officers located substantial evidence that employees were engaged in acts of prostitution,” Brewster said. “City of Palm Desert code enforcement officers were notified and they conducted an independent investigation regarding potential municipal code violations.”

The sting was run by the Palm Desert Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Bureau, Brewster said.
