Citizens to give input on pay for council members in Palm Desert

A citizen-based committee formed to decide how muchPalm Desert City Council members should be paid will have its inaugural meeting Wednesday.
Palm Desert City Council members make about $45,000 per year.

The hearing is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall.

“I just hope to hear all the facts and suggestions, and have the panel make a decision based on the facts and not their preconceptions,” Dale Gribow, a member of the council’s Compensation Ad Hoc Citizens’ Committee, told mydesert.com.

The other members are Kim Housken, Bob Leo, Mike Rover and Leo Sullivan, with alternates Patrick Pratt and Joan Busick.
