Police believe same suspects held up Cathedral City drug, pizza stores

Police sought public help today in finding whoever robbed a pizza business and a Walgreens pharmacy in Cathedral City.

An employee of Little Caesar’s Pizza at 69040 Ramon Road reported that someone robbed the restaurant about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday. As officers arrived, someone reported that Walgreens at 30015 Date Palm Drive had just been robbed, Cathedral City police Sgt. Julio Luna said.

“As both investigations developed, it was discovered the robberies were committed by the same suspect or suspects,” Luna said.

At least one suspect entered the businesses armed with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. Police believe the robber or robbers used a vehicle
to get away, Luna said.

A suspect was described as Latino, 20-to-30 years old, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds, and wearing a brown shirt, blue jeans
and white shoes.

Anyone with information about the crimes was asked call the Cathedral City Police Department at 760-770-0303.
