City of Indio restores ‘normal’ business hours

Indio city officials announced new hours of operation for city facilities, effective July 9, 2012.

“It is important that we provide our residents, businesses, and visitors with important city services and access to their city government five days a week,” said Indio Mayor Glenn Miller.

“We’ve enhanced our fiscal position and we continue to make great strides in restoring service levels to Indio residents,” said City Manager Dan Martinez. “This action ends the reduced workweek that had been in effect since July 1, 2010, which resulted in several city facilities closed on Fridays to cut costs.”
