Palm Desert donut shop robbed

Police were looking for a man who workers said held up a Swiss Donut shop in Palm Desert Friday afternoon.

Spokesman Angel Ramos said officers were called to the store shortly before 2 p.m. at the corner of Lupine Avenue and Highway 111.

Employees said a Hispanic male in his 20s, wearing a black shirt, came into the store, showed the worker a gun and demanded money.

He then ran out of the store.

Palm Desert police officers are canvassing neighborhoods, Ramos said, trying to track the man down.

No one was injured.
