Caught with a hand in the tip jar
A man is accused of trying to steal from a Starbucks tip jar and then threatening a man who tried to stop him.
Palm Springs police arrested Kais Atheir on Tuesday for attempted robbery. Police say a man saw Atheir taking money from the tip jar and argued with him.
Police say Atheir then approached that man outside the Starbucks on South Palm Canyon Drive and threatened him with a razor blade.
Atheir is being held on $25,000 bail.
