Desert Hot Springs boy helps animal shelter

A little boy in Desert Hot Springs asked family and friends to bring a special item to his birthday party to help an animal shelter.

David Peffer turned five years old a few days ago and asked guests to bring dog food to his birthday party Saturday instead of presents, so he could help the Save-A-Pet shelter that was vandalized twice. David’s family says he came up with this idea on his own and is a big animal lover.

Save-A-Pet animal shelter was vandalized ten times in about two weeks.
