Sheriff Investigators Discover Body During Sky Valley Search

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has discovered a dead body in a shallow grave at a home on Longvue Road in Sky Valley.

Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call one block over on Hot Springs Road, just before 1:30 P.M. Thursday.

The Sheriff’s Department says the suspect’s roommate called 911 saying the suspect was making threatening statements and was depressed over breaking up with his girlfriend.

They now say that man is 46 year-old Carl Richard Perdock of Thousand Palms.

When deputies arrived at Perdock’s girlfriend’s home on Hot Springs Road, they found no one, but did find evidence of a struggle.

More information lead them to a second home on the 23-000 block of Longvue Road where they found Perdock.

Perdock then took off in a red Jeep Cherokee.

Deputies aided by a C.H.P Helicopter searched the area and around 4:00 Thursday afternoon located him.

After an extensive search of the area, The Sheriff’s Department say they found the body of a woman in a shallow grave at a home on the 23-000 block of Longvue Road at about 1am Friday morning.

Perdock was arrested for murder and booked in the Riverside County Jail in Indio. The body is of a 33 year-old female, but the identity of the victim is not yet known.
