Homeless forum planned in Palm Springs

Palm Springs police Chief Al Franz and the police advisory board will hold a forum tonight on homelessness in the city.

The 6 p.m. forum will be held at the Mizell Senior Center, 480 S. Sunrise Way, and residents are encouraged to attend, Sgt. Mike Kovaleff said.

The forum will include a panel discussion and an update on the local homeless population, Kovaleff said. Police Officer Barron Lane and representatives of local nonprofits are scheduled to be on the panel.

“The panel hopes to answer residents’ concerns and questions regarding the continuous homeless issues in our city,” Kovaleff said.
