Palm Springs High homecoming parade set for Wednesday afternoon

Palm Springs High School will hold its annual homecoming parade in downtown Palm Springs Wednesday afternoon.
The 3:30 p.m. parade will start at Baristo Road and head north on Palm Canyon Drive, ending at Alejo Road. The parade will include members of the Palm Springs City Council and the Palm Springs Unified School District board, the school’s marching band and other school groups, according to city spokeswoman Amy Blaisdell.
Mexican restaurant Las Casuelas Terraza will continue its tradition of handing out free burritos to the football players as they go down Palm Canyon, Blaisdell said.
Palm Springs high will play Indio High School in the homecoming game on Friday at 7 p.m. at Palm Springs High School’s stadium, 2401 E. Baristo Road.
