Yogurt Store Stabbing Update

A judge today ordered a psychological examination for a Palm Desert man accused of stabbing a woman at the Rancho Mirage frozen yogurt shop where they both worked, inflicting non-life-threatening wounds.
Shimon Silberfenig, 55, allegedly attacked the woman on Aug. 27 at Swirl
Cup Self Serve Yogurt in the 34100 block of Monterey Avenue. He is charged
with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
