Man Loses Control Of Motorcycle With Deadly Results

Sheriff detectives are still trying to determine what caused the death of a motorcycle rider early Tuesday morning.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office says 40 year old Jesus Fernandez of Coachella was riding his motorcycle on Harrison Street in Coachella when he lost control of his bike, leaving the roadway, traveling over a berm, striking a concrete slab where he was later discovered by a passing motorist.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said they got the call around 7:30 A.M. Tuesday morning. When they got on scene they discovered Fernandez near his bike. He was pronounced dead on scene. They are unsure of what time the crash occurred.

The Coroner’s official report said that Fernandez was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed anything to call police or Crimestoppers at (760) 341-STOP.
