Coachella Music Festival Organizers Release Lineup

The organizers behind the world-famous Coachella Music Festival made the much-anticipated announcement of which acts will headline the two weekend musical extravaganza in April.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Stone Roses, Blur, and Phoenix are listed as the top acts to perform, according to a tweet sent late Thursday evening.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, and Jurassic 5 are also performing at the Empire Polo Club the weekends of April 12 and April 19.

The lineup on both Fridays includes Blur, The Stone Roses, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Lou Reed, Jurassic 5, Grinderman, Bass Nectar, Dog Blood, How to Destroy Angels, Passion Pit, and Tegan and Sara.

On both Saturdays, Phoenix, the XX, The Postal Service, Sigur Ros, New Order, Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, Knife Party, Benny Benassi, Two Door Cinema Club, Moby, Descendents, Yeasayer, Franz Ferdinand, and the Violent Femmes will perform, among many other bands.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, Social Distortion, Wu-Tang Clan, Pretty Lights, Eric Prydz, Tame Impala, The Lumineers, Dead Can Dance, La Roux, James Blake and Excision Grimes are among the bands to play both Sundays.
